Noise in furnace

I have a Crown gas fired hot water boiler with 3 zones. My water temp is set to 180.I also have a single circulator pump. When system is up to temp and water is circulating I can hear a noise that sounds like an expansion sound at the furnace. It is not a gurgaling sound like you get when the system has air in it.I did bleed off any air and replaced the the expansion tank because it was leaking. This noise is not very loud but it is driving me crazy.Posibly a clog in the furnace? need help with this problem. Thanks LT

Pictures of the boiler would help. Is the noise from the boiler itself? When you say expansion...is it a ticking, chattering, or crackeling? Age of boiler? One circ and 3 zone valves?

this is a might be ....
maybe there is a valve that is not open......i hate to think it ....having a valve on the expansion tank that was closed might tend to give you some different noises....0
