    Had a typical week

lots of questions, late employees, a demanding customer who dos'nt even OWN the house, he's a tenant. This guy called on Thursday afternoon because he had a leak under a sink. We are going there Monday for other work. He called my office Friday, at 10:00, to ream out my office because we had'nt called him yet ?

You guys know the drill, one of those weeks. Good/Bad but alot of stress.

My youngest is in first grade and having a hard time settling down. His teacher decided to give him a star if he did well everyday. Three stars and he gets a reward.

I came home Friday night and all I wanted to do was kick back and have a cold one.

"Daddy look " as he handed me his slip showing he got three stars. The teacher made a point of saying he did all his work on Friday and even asked for More Work to do.

" Can we go down town and buy a toy ? ".

" You bet Pal, grab your coat ".

    Cocktails can wait :)

First I got a big smile and a hug from a little guy who was very proud of himself.

All the troubles of the week just melted away. They just don't matter that much compared to that smile.

    Hug your kids :)

    Scott

    Savor the Moment

Savor the Moment because time moves so fast. Instead of can WE go downtown it's can I have money to go downtown. I miss the days of sitting together watching tv answering innocent questions. As the independance sets in and the big hugs go to a pat on the back to a verbal compliment. It's obvious you appreciate what you have Scott.

    Future Contractor

Got all his work done and asked for more...sounds like a future contractor in the making! Kids are great therapy. I have three...my oldest, a daughter, has a year of college behind her and wants to marry a blue coolar type...just like daddy. My number two, a boy, just finished highschool and is trying to get a start as an electrician. My number three, a boy, is a senior and wants to be a teacher. And I am proud to be the dragon slayer for this crowd!

    Beautiful Story

    Beautiful!

At age 56, after shepherding my kids and most of my step-kids safely into their own lives, I’m in the parent business again. I inherited my step-daughter’s little ones in January 05 because some low-life stabbed her 13 times. The perp is still out there. She had (ahem) lifestyle issues – her old man did stuff to her at age 12.

So now I have been blessed with a 4 year old girl and a 9 year old boy who call me daddy. My heart melts. I really AM their daddy! There is NOTHING better than having them curled up with me on the sofa while we watch kid flics. My wife and I are legal guardiansl, so papa pervo can have no contact without our permission, and you KNOW what the chances are of that happening.

Tragedy has become a blessing, The kids are happy, healthy and safe. You would never know what they have been through.

Life is good. I can’t wait to get home tonight.

And yes, I hug them and tell them I love them each and every day.

No matter how efficient and on the ball you are

there will always be someone you can't get to fast enough or cheap enough. At the end of the day, you have to hang up the overalls and the wrench and enjoy the trials and tribulations of our families...the good and the bad. It ALL that really matters in the end. I'm glad the boy is doing well. Mad Dog

    Great story Steve

Unfortunately, in NY and some other States, the molesters have most of the rights and outstanding folks like you would never get the chance to do the right thing. God Bless You, Sir. Mad Dog

    I know the feeling

I got the pleasure of having my two grandsons age 5 and 3 come over last weekend.( Tyler & Gavin )We got in pops truck and headed for Sonics, their favorite place to go. I am still finding french fries a week later in my van, hey but is was worth it. Went and got some video games. Lost ever single game lol. Watched builder bob and some little guy that looked like a sponge. Then watched star wars till 2 in the morning. They both had to sleep with me including the little dog. Lol at 4 I got up and let them 3 fight over the bed. At 7am sharp the youngest told me it was time to get up, that I had promised them breakfast at McDonalds.
My sweet wife missed all the fun, she was with her dad ( he is ate up with cancer ) My freinds never let your kids go to bed mad at you or you mad at them for life is to short.
Next month I get my grand daughter 10 months old, she is so pretty gets that from her mom. I know now why the good lord wanted you to have kids at a young age, takes me a mounth to get over a weekend.

    Peace Be With All

    Time is fleeting

Never say goodbye without saying I love you and never be angry with each other when you part ways for an hour or a day. Although I am past the Daddy stage with our 13-year-old son, he always tells me he loves me. And our 11-year-old daughter still calls me Daddy and still says she loves me. I am blessed to have them and to have the most amazing wife -- their loving Mommy.
