Move the main vent?

Hi all -
The return line from under my crawlspace is rotten, I'm going to replace 15ft section of black iron. At the end of the return line (as it comes out from under my crawlspace) is the main vent. Since I'm going to replace the whole 15ft section, I'm wondering if it makes sense to move the main vent under the crawlspace (about 3.5 feet high) closer to the last radiator riser? Not sure if it's enough air to make that much of a difference to move the vent. I just know the closer the vent to the last riser, the quicker that side will heat.
Just curious if anyone has any thoughts? Thanks!

The Main just needs to
be beyond the last riser however it should be 18 inches before you 90 down to the return as water hammer will kill that vent the closer the faster.0
