Burnhan Baffles

I'll be glad to help you with the necessary parts to get this boiler back up and running but I will need the Model Number of the boiler to do that. If the tubes and baffles are vertical in orientation it could be either an RSA, RS, BBC or CB model boiler depending on the age. If the tubes and baffles are horizontal then it could be an LE, LEDV or FR model boiler. Again, in order to assist you I will need the whole model number (letters and numbers). Hope this helps.

what is up with these Burnham boilers circa 1990's, oil fired, has baffles in the tubes leading to the smoke pipe, all the baffles are destroyed, stack temp is way out of control, went to the supply house they were like you need baffles, Dahhh... I can't take it!Please tell me some one !has a total rebuild kit with baffles and gaskets for the system.I have no experience with Burnham I have heard nothing but good things about them, please give the 411. Thanks guys.

    baffles

That sounds like the RS model. I am sure that the baffles are available. If nothing else the folks at Burnham can direct you. Wait here. One will come along.

    a sorry state of affairs....

the cleaning of a boiler can wait 14 years until it goes bang or wont go.....at least that seems to be the general idea many people seem to have...small wonder the turbulators are smoked or Gone...installing Le's and the like where they can be cleaned Wow! who would have ever thought of That *~/:)

the pieces should be available at the wholesale outlet the boiler was purchased....although everyone seems to wait until the winters got a firm grip on things until checking on the availability of parts...Luckily you came along in time to help out. cleaning is more reactionary say vrs planning to have the burner serviced at least once a Year. Your plumbing store that sells the boilers can locate the parts often real quick like if not try Keller Supply in your area. Good luck.

    Thanks

I spoke to Burnham Tech center today, they were very helpful.I have the baffles on order with my local Burnham supplier. The plot thickens with the boiler, who ever attempted to clean it before, had busted the studs on the canopy top, so I will have to adapt some type of thread coupling to bolt the new canopy top back on, ya the last guy left it unbolted with no gasket. Fine work indeed, I will post pics to show you where Einstein decided to put the prv.
