..omy partner's son recently took the pipefitter's exam in rhode island....and (1) question was
...." what causes foaming in a boiler ? "

his father and i , both think the correct answer is "OIL" and the boiler needs to be skimmed....is that correct and are there any ohter possibilities ?

    Hi solids souluble or otherwise can also do it along with oil. The Hi solids respond to bottom blowdown.
