Tekmar 260 questions

On a 260, is there any way to change the target temp of 180° on a DHW call? Does this override the Max boiler temp if set below 180°?

If boiler min temp is set, is it maintained during WWSD?

I also don't understand the purpose of the fire delay time setting. On a boiler demand, what does this change? Will the 260 wait to run the circulator until the boiler begins firing?

    Hello John,

The 260 operates the boiler at 180F during DHW Demands. The boiler max setting always overrides all other settings, so yes, if the boiler max setting is below 180F, the boiler max setting will be the operating temperature during a DHW Demand.

The boiler minimum temperature is only maintained when there is a boiler demand or DHW demand.

Warm Weather Shut Down (WWSD) causes the 260 to ignore Boiler Demands, thereby shutting your heating system off for the summer. The boiler minimum temperature is not maintain during WWSD.

The fire delay setting accounts for any pre-purge and ignition time on the boiler. Close the boiler TT terminals and use your watch to time how long it takes for the burner to turn on.

The 260 primary pump turns on immediately if only a Boiler Demand is present and the control is not in WWSD.
