Aluminum track for under floor installs

are the original Radiant Engineering ThermoFin.

They now offer a narrower, thiner gauge ThinFin. real close to the same tube grip and hold, but less aluminum = less cost.

Get them from RE or Watts Radiant, Slant Fin, Roth, perhaps a few others sell RE transfer plates under their brand.

Shop for a supplier close to you as freight does add up, even when shipping aluminum :)

    Aluminum track for underfloor installs

There was a thread on this site at one time discussing the pros and cons of several different brands of aluminum track. I'm not a fan of underfloor installs, but have a couple of customers that have experienced shortfalls in performance with some DIY internet-bought systems.
I would like to try retubing one of them with heavy gauge track and PAP; but can't remember what brands shone thru as being most effective and reliable.
HotRod had a favorite that he pushed the tubing into with a palm nailer and I liked the report he had on it's performance; but can't find the thread. Plus I am a compudolt.

  • Most likely Thermofin from Radiant Engineering in Bozeman, Montana. Very nice stuff with exceptional heat transfer ability.
