Underground propane piping requirements

Contact your supplier and ask them to run a new underground line. I think since you have the area open now would be the time to run CTS and a couple riser's...CTS is designed to be buried but does have specific requirements.

Underground propane piping requirements
I'm building a detached garage, and will eventually - probably next year - be putting in a boiler/hw heater for in-floor heat (tubes already in floor). What's the current approved method for buried propane piping? (I'm in southern NH).
The line going from the 325 gal. tank to the house is just 1/4" soft copper direct buried about 2' deep under the driveway. House is 20 years old, so I assume that was kosher at the time, but expect that's no longer acceptable.
I haven't finished the dirt work along the side of the garage, so I thought it might be easier to install pipe now rather than digging a trench next year when I get around to setting up the heating system.0 -

have switched to that plastic coated copper tube. Better protection and the yellow color make it easier to identify.
Most States have LP codes, you might contact them for options.
