Boiler is about 10 yrs old. stopped using hot water part (switched over to gas hot water heater), just useing the steam heat part. someone said to keep boiler hot (112*degrees) during the summer to keep leaks from starting. Any info. on this?

    Warm Boiler

Keeping the boiler warm keeps it much cleaner and prevents it from plugging up. I have had to clean and or unplug many that were turned off. The money saved in fuel is spent on additional service not to mention the aggravation to you.
