combination steam / hot water system
Is there an energy efficient design for providing 50% steam heat and 50% hot water heat utilizing an existing weil-mclain 588 steam boiler. The boiler is controlled by heat-timer utilizing the cycle concept for steam.

The asnwer is yes...
provided the boiler has a tankless coil, or minimally, the opening for one.
We have installed many "hybrid" steam and water heating systems. They are a value design few ever think of.0
