Ok, forgive me for not knowing what to call things. I've learned that when you replace a radiator shut off valve you also have to replace the part that comes out of the radiator with the union nut. This part has two notches inside of it so that a special tool can be put inside and turn it.

What is the name of this tool and where can I find one?

Its called a spud wrench and you can get it at a plumbing supply.

I must own a dozen of them ,I just can't find one when I need one and end up buying another. I always wondered about the small first step of the spud ? Has anyone ever used it ?? Or the large one for the matter.. HomeDepot sells them around these parts...Must be a really big seller....
