variable speed circulators

Now, If I can figure out how to get it to work on 220 volt single phase 60 Hz electricity, I may find a home for it:-)
(it's designed for 50Hz electricity...)
The O&M manual is a VERY interesting read. This thing will stand on its head and spit wooden nickels out of every orifice, if you want it to.
Ever seen a pump with a FLAT curve?? I think this is going to be my pump choice of the future on our Euro designed systems.
Thanks Wilo!

whos using these circs
I went to John Seigenthalers class last friday and learned alot. He spoke alot about the savings with variable speed circulators. Any one tried one of these yet?0 -
Everyone with a Vitodens 200 (well at least a the 6-24 or 8-32 sizes) has the benefit of a variable-speed circulator.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, most American systems fail to take full advantage of such circulator because they've decoupled their system via a low-loss header. While the variable-speed circulator is doing its' job for the boiler circuit, the often numerous emitter circulators are still running flat-out.0 -
I've used the Grundfos
MixiMiser for years. Both as an injection pump and as a boiler protection circ. A fairly simple and basic circ with a small tekmar brain onboard.
I was impressed with the small variable speed Wilo that was displayed at the Chicago AHR show recently.
When it hits the market it will provide a ton of variable speed options, with the built in microprocessor.

Taco, variable speed circulators
Taco offers 3 versions of variable speed circulators, the VV variable speed analog signal, VS, variable set point, and the VR variable reset. Variable speed is available on all the Taco 00 series. For your convenience I have attached a glossy

Hi Mark,
It would probably work fine on 60HZ. It would probably have a slightly higher output but the controller should compensate. Not working is better than not even trying it. (I assume you want to try it on your home "lab")
