A little upset with Wirsbo

I am sure you are being bombarded with help. I sent an e mail to Wirsbo/Uponor to Cindy and it will be distributed by now to all who can help you. This is a dynamic company with young progressive people. John Barba of Wirsbo is Mr. Radiant, a real leader in the field. Mark (Eatherton)is not too shabby too lol..will you be in Vegas Mark for the HTC /???, if so I will see you there.

If you ever need help Josh, keep my e mail too. Sometimes you just need to bounce an idea in private, I will do that for you. I am on the east coast in New Jersey so not a "competitor", though actually I find there is more a "working together" atmosphere in this industry with most of us. Of course there is always the odd soul who thinks he is going to install all the radiant in the world himself.

We install miles of tubing and can't see the end of the tunnel as radiant is growing in leaps and bounds

I am a little peed off with Wirsbo right now. I had a question for them which I sent Via thier online inquiry form. Who did I get a response from? My direct competitor!!! Can they not screen inquiry's? I am very disapointed! Am I wrong?

I get leads from Wirsbo, once I replied, and then after
I realized it was another P&H contractor. I sent a second email apologizing.
But I was amazed that he was asking how to install tubing!!

Ya Derek, mabe you can tell me who to get in touch with. I was just asking if I could use one of the diagrams from their website for a brochure.

By the way how do you become one of their contractors? I am a new company but have been installing as long as anyone. I did go to the mini boot camp once a few years back.

A little, perhaps. First, I've never found Uponor or Wirsbo to be anything but first-class - especially the people behind the product.

Second, one of the unique aspects of radiant heating, that I've found, is the willingness of otherwise fierce compettitors to share - willingly - helpful, useful and insightful information that serves to raise the bar and produce better compettitors. Sounds crazy, but I've seen it and experienced that first-hand. Could be your compettitor is actually trying to lend a hand. Competing as friends is much more fun and a whole lot less stressful. As Red Green says "We're all in this together."

Maybe this will shed a little light...

Not exactly sure what happened, but if I had to guess, your inquiry probably was placed in our lead distribution system and was farmed out to your competitor as a consumer lead. Sorry for the mixup - the system may have simply identified you as a consumer. Our lead program works pretty well, but every once in a while something like this happens. Please call our tech service department directly, or if I can help you in any way, email me or call me at the office. Again, sorry for the mixup.

I do it all the time...

Every once in a while, if the quantity of Wirs, er I mean Uponor leads slows down, I send an inquiry to myself just checking to make sure the system is working OK. I know that at least 2 of my competitors are getting the leads, so I just write in the comment box, TESTING, TESTING, 1,2,3, TESTING.

Now, if you really want to get results for a technical question, post it here. The tech gang from Uponor (just like everyone else who cares in the hydronic biz) frequents this place and I guarantee you (unless its a weekend) you WILL be contacted by Uponors best. Just like Johnny Wirs, er, I mean Johnny Uponor did. Don't be upset, join up so you can send yourself email requests like I do:-)

BTW, I'm pretty sure that general request for information off their web site is handled by internet robots, not human beans.

Thanks to John Barbra my problems are solved... I am now well on my way.. Just wish my competition didn't have information about me. Most radiant heating contractors around here are great but the one that wirsbo sent my request to just happens to be the Wal-Mart of radiant guys and thrives on bad mouthing his competition. I didn't even want him to know that I exist.
