Buderus Mixing Station

module just provides low volt output for mixing - it can't tell what it is controling. The card simply opens and closes a mixing device to obtain the desired mix temp. If you use the BFU (optional) it tries to maintain constant circulation in the loop, with it you are getting feedback from the space as well as outside re-set.
I have never tried to use the FM241 without a BFU so I can't tell you how it will work. I like the idea of using a single "brain" to control the entire system wherever possible. The 2107 is a great choice for a two temp system with an indirect water heater no matter what mix method you use.
Buderus has great tech support available during normal business hours (8-5 M-F), and I'm sure they can resolve your issues with one call. 1-800-BUDERUS USA

Buderus Mixing Station
I'm installing Buderus G115 with the rs2107 controller. I've got two zones of baseboard, one radiant floor zone, and DHW.
I'm following the eco-009 application chart on Buderus' web site and it shows a similar setup to what I'm doing. It has the FM card in the controller going to a motorized mixing valve. I called to order the appropriate parts and the shop is telling me I need the mixing station ($600) and the indoor sensor. The 009 specifically shows with no indoor sensor. There must be a less expensive way to accomplish this than with the mixing station, isn't there? Am I loosing anything if I just go with a motorized 3-way wire toe the FM card?0 -

the fm241card has to comunicate to a mixing valve or all you will get is an error code . If all you are doing is baseboard i recently installed a system using the room sensor for the main zone of the house and keep it as a constant circulation zone which modulated with the outdoor air temp on the 2107 control this keeps the baseboard tempered all the time and when needed the temp rises as the out side temp goes down this keep the noise leval down as well. by doing it with the 2107 you now can take advantage of warm weather shut down and the pump logic of the 2107. if you decide to do radiant its worth the money to buy the mixing valve.0 -

If it is a
small radiant zone, you may want to consider using the mixing card with a two way injection valve and a second BFU for the radiant zone. This will give you constant circulation in the radiant zone, and all the control functions are through the 2107. Just remember to tell the 2107 to look for the second BFU.

A plain vanilla motorized mixing valve
Or the fancy Buderus mixing station is really what I'm trying to figure out. According to Buderus' application diagrams, they show no need for the BFU at all just the FM card going to the motorized mixing valve.
Is the difference between an injection valve and a mixing valve that the injection valve implies constant circulation where the regular mixing valve implies the circulator goes on and off?0
