Copper artist

I have a contractor who is trying to decorate his basic copper sheet to an art. The copper is going to wrap around the kitchen island. He has used some acid and a lemon vinegar mix and gotten the same results-green. He is looking for more colors any ideas

I have a cousin who is an artist and works in metals - he used to run an electric current through the metal and then using a brush, paint it with different liquids and got some amaziing colors. Check out this page for one of his works.
