Carrier and York 94+ furnaces with the variable speed blowers reccomend them. Acts as a dehumidifier when inside ambiant is satisfied, but R/H% is needing attention. Acomplished by running blower at lower RPM (thus viarible) to lower the R/H without to much affect on sensable load in the structure.

Thanks Guys
Will it work on this system ? Hydronic heat with bb, central air system , humidifier on central air system. I want the humidistat to turn on blower and humidifer when falls below rh% setting .......
Thanks again0 -
Standard Humidistat
If you need the humidification in winter, sure it would work, but you can accomplish this with a standard stand alone humidistat and a relay or 2. The Thermidistats are generally for de-humidifying in the A/C mode. And they are quite expensive.0 -
You don't want
the AC blower on distributing cold air with a duct system humidifier. Only works with hot air systems. Need warm air to carry the humidity also. Get a wall mounted humidifier from Aprilaire that will generate humidity for the home.0
