Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you in the hope that you may be of assistance. I am a time served Plumber and am at present a lecturer in Plumbing and Heating at the Institute of Technology Blanchardstown, Dublin 15, Ireland.
I am presently involved in the delivery of the Standards Based Apprenticeship System which contains an extensive module on Oil Fired Heating.
I am also in the final year of an Honours Degree programme and have chosen Oil Fired Burners (Pressure Jet / Atomising) as the subject for my thesis. At present I am looking at same from an historical perspective and would appreciate any archived information/literature that could be of assistance to me, in particular I am interested in finding out information on the early development of the oil fired burner in the USA and also its introduction into the European/Irish market.
Furthermore any technical information on the combustion process employed on this type of burner, the effects on efficiency through routine maintenance / servicing, etc, would be invaluable.
Yours Sincerely
Jerry Bradley LCGI. Eng Tech. MIP. RP.
