is used between lousy rough concrete pour and wood sub floor to get good thermal conduction for radiant heat???

very funny guys...
had he asked me first - thats what would be on the floor,
but this is after the fact and he aint going to pour another layer
there was this gell like sheeting - and i cant remember where is saw it - i wonder if those new rubbery synthetic roofing sheets that auto-seal nail holes would work as well , haven seen a r-value for them0 -
