I think I may just bite the bullet and drive. Monday morning I'll check with the boys to see who wants to attend. Is there anything planned for Thursday night? Need to gauge what ferry i'll be taking on Thursday.

That's right 50 seats sold allready. leaving only 50 seats for this event. Get your seats while they last and save yourself some $money$ by registering early. The cost goes up to $129.00 a seat as of June 1st.
Not only will we have technical discussions going on all day. You'll also get to see what Oil Tech Talk is working on with Brookhaven National Lab! That's right Tom Butcher and the crew from Brookhaven will be with us for the day and we will be giving live fire demonstrations of a wall hung oil fired condensing boiler.
Speaking of Live fire Craig Buttler from R. W. Beckett will also be with us and demonstrating the operation of the Beckett NX Oil burner.
Did I mention the raffle? That's right you'll have a chance to win some great tools and other prizes and all the money from the raffle will go to Oil Heat Cares. Isn't that great?

Jim, it's a bit of ride but I promise you it's worth the trip! You'll notice we have a fellow technician coming all the way from Alaska.
New England is where I grew up. Roslindale, Ma. So I make frequent trips there each year. I'd say you're looking at an 8 hr trip by car.
And talk about about a small world I'll be in Cape Code in July watching my God Child Jennifer get Married. Hey does that mean I'm getting old?? I hope you can make it my friend.

Alan what about flying in, 8 hours is a little tough since I will have to take the day before and the day after, I plan on enjoying a late night of lively burner talk over some beverages after the summit.0 -
Jim, Allentown,Reading,Lancaster or Harrisburg I think would be your choices of airports close to the training center. I think South West flys into either Reading or Allentown? You can get that out of Rhoade Island (sp?)I believe?
Thanks for considering joining us for this very special event.

Beverages??????
????????????0 -
Sorry Tommy, anyone who knows me, knows I love my beer! But no booze at "OilStock" for safety and liability reasons. Now if you're staying at the hotel the night before or the night after that's a different story.
I'll be supplying some adult beverages there

I meant that after the summit , I have a hard time focusing after a couple frosty beverages. I will check into a flight to Allentown, maybe I could scam a ride from someone. This sounds like a great opportunity to learn. Thanks for the info and the invite, will the FireDragon be present?I wish I could attend the Last Waltz but graduation commitments conflict.0 -
Well, Now after the event is a whole different story. Here's the hotel you'll want to be at for the adult beverages Microtel Inn & Suites Hamburg, PA
I'm sorry to say the Firedragon will not be joining us.

Jim
I was planning on leaving my house around 5:00 a.m that day. If you could somehow arrange an early flight and get in to A-town as I'm passing by I would be happy to sidetrack and grab another oilstocker. I think Rt 78 goes thru Allentown. I'll have to check my map today. Keep me posted with your flight plans.0 -
Alan
I believe Rt 78 goes thru Allentown. Does it? Will I be passing the airport(sort of) on the way out there? Also, I wasnt figuring on any "beverages" during the learning process. HOWEVER, I'm sure that some additional learningwilltake place at an alternate locale afterwards. I would be happy to pick up Jim at the airport if the timing is right.0 -
Tommy you're right and You're awesome brother! Here's the information.
The Airport is conveniently located between Allentown and Bethlehem, Lehigh Valley International Airport (LVIA, airport code ABE) is easily accessible from Interstate 78 and Route 22.

Still wish I could Alan.....
Time constraints and a Family wedding are the culprits.
For all of you that do attend...BEWARE. Mike Santoro is a sensitive guy and won't be able to take any jokes handed to him. (JUST KIDDING!!!) He'll zing ya right back.
But for all of you that don't believe that oil and CO could be a problem....Ask him to tell you his story.Scary AND informitive...
Mike, go easy on these guys. Chris0 -
Chris, I totally understand brother. You will be missed but there's always next year!

Just a quick note. I'll be on the road again leaving this Sunday June 19th. And I'll be traveling right through to the OilStock event. So, I will not be able to process any registration sent by snail mail. You can still register via Pay Pal on the ott web site or just bring your payment with you.
Thanks again to every one who has registered it's going to be lots of fun with plenty of education!
