    Computerized bidding programs

We are doing more commercial plumbing work lately, and I was wondering if anyone had a computer program that works well for calculating bids for jobs. We currently do the bids by hand, which takes a tremendous amount of time, especially if we don't get the job.

I was wondering if anyone used a program like this, and how well it works for you.

    Thanks for your input.

    Robert,

I use a system called Wendes out of Chicago along with the Harrison price book. It is a digitized board with a take off pen.

We do multi-million dollar plumbing bids with the system in Massachusetts. If you would like more information email me at my office and send your questions.

It is a great system and has been very instrumental in our winning a good portion of the bids we send out.
