serves as both a subfloor product and radiant system, that I know of.

It really does perform very well and provides a nice even heat spread with very low supply temperatures. Excellent nailing for hardwood or backerboard. It provides a very stout floor.

Seems to me it should be designed around 19 or 24" on center framing to take some lumber cost out of the job?

It gets to big a big number quickly when you figure 4000 square feet at over $150 per panel. I've had a hard time selling the GCs the value difference.

Availability also seems to hurt my sale of WB. Unless you are involved at the design stage, and involve the framing contractor, it's tough to come late to the party with WB.

I'd sure use it if I were to build a new home. ICF walls, WB, and SIPS for the roof assembly :)

    cost effective

Look at the big picture. Price out gyp and look at your real costs. Double bottom plate, sleepers, a second subfloor for wood floors. You will find Warmboard is a better value.
