Friday Un-Funny

Really crazy thing is that the adjuster included an extra $150 (I did not ask for) for the damage to my yard from the falling logs when it was removed! I thought, "What a nice insurance company!"

From the "bend over and take it" department.

Last summer a storm knocked a tree over onto my house. Called tree company immediately and paid myself. Called insurance company. Said, "No problem. Act of God. Won't increase your rate." So I turned in the claim.

Also own the house next door--insured by same company. Got bill and it had a big rate increase. Called. Rate was increased because of the claim next door!!!!!

Nope and they didn't say anything about it ever going back down...
  • boy do I feel your pain...

20 years with the same auto insurance company. No accidents, always full coverage. I had an accident, did $1600 worth of damage to the other car. Guess what, my rates went up $850... exactly the cost written out for two years plus interest.

Sure glad I paid all those years.

BTW - I have a new insurance company and my rates are lower then my first was BEFORE the increase.

    I REALLY hate insurance companies.

Ever see a CEO for an insurance company living on the street??? I could only wish..........

    MMMMM

haha....ouch. Maybe they should raise it again, because a tree fell on my place too! I'm in the neighboring country...

But I know what you mean...dinged the service truck. No claim (other persons fault)and my personal insurance went from 6 star rating (no accident/tickets for 20yrs) to freakin 0!! and here it affects me for 6 years!! Because I was INVOLVED! in an accident...go figure.

    Dont you know

That they are just protecting themselves because you never know if the tree that was cut up and taken away, might come back and land on your other house. This would clearly be revenge on the trees part and the insurance co's cannot take that chance. But just in case, that is the reason for the increase.

    Rates back to normal

The only way that your rates will go back to normal is if the origional tree that did the damage, is arrested, convicted and agrees to admit that all of the damage was it's fault and appologises to the insurance company.
Hope this made your day. Ins. Co's,...well... suck!

    lost cause

THERE is so much corruption on both sides of the fence in both insurance and real estate the only way you get a fair shake is to play the game and be a criminal

    Insurance

I was just denied motorcycle insurance because inspite of my clean record- my daughter, son and ex-wife all have chargable accidents in the last five years. But I don't live near them, and none of them have a motorcycle license. Sorry! What a world. Thank god there is still another choice. Where did common sense go? I get so confussseedd!
