Header Hanging

Do as has been done before. That is make up the header on a backboard of plywood or diamond plate polished aluminum. Then fence post it in place exactly where you want it. It is permanent, goodlooking and instant fixed in place. Past posts here (2yrs ago)showed some very up-beat headers. the wireing was placed on the backside such that the pumps, valves and piping was very clean. Just-a-thought

Header Hanging
Does anyone have a good method of hanging a raidiant heating header for new construction where the wall is non-existant? I have done it with re-bar and uni-strut but I have yet to find a good way to make it work- Eb0 -
Do you mean
pex that is in a slab?
I've found that pex al pex stays upright and straight without much support. Sometimes we drive rebar stakes to assure it stays where the wall will later be built around a manifold. It is more of just a position pin than to hold the tube plumb. A sawzall will cut the temporary stakes off at floor level after the manifold is mounted.
Copper tube works alsoEasiar to cut off later.
It also helps to use bend supports. You can buy PVC ones. I make my own with the next size larger PAP. 3/4" works well for 1/2" pex.

ever look \"UP\"? *~/:)...
oh maybe i misunderstood...pex tubing from the slab type non- existing wall radiant Header...rebar that is bent 180 hammer it down into the gravel lash a 2X4 to it then take electrical conduit bends, shove the tails through them to the exact same lengths then fasten the bends to the 2X at equal spaced dimensions supplys on the front and the returns to the back after the pour, and or after the framing undo the wire lashing the 2x to the pieces of rebar...remove the omega clamps hit the 2 X a coupla times the 2X goes bye bye ...done deal.the rebar can live there ..or not ...not is goodif you leave some space the dimension of a valve handel to a weezbo 1/4 turn valve then you can get at the supply and return valves easy when purging the system.i would also like to say that putting a black plastic bag over the headers works...wrapping tin foil over them and red and blue tape black and white tape and variations there of with multi zones is like having a directory that you can "read" when you return..if you happen to be on the run 24-7.
