    I rarely win money, but I quite often win "stuff".

    Today started out with my name getting drawn for a pair of tickets to a Yankees game in August, including transportation.

    Hopefully, they've turned things around and are still winning then :)

    I'm a die-hard fan regardless. I wore my Yankees hat to Mr. Barba's class and found out he's from Boston :) (Sorry John !)

    I can take it :)

    It's a win for me, we're 8 hours from the Bronx. This game's in Toronto, and that's only 4 :) The one time I tried to go to a game in NYC we got stuck on the GW bridge for 2-1/2 hours and got to the stadium in the bottom of the 7th :(

    I'll probably find out that the LL games I ump are as exciting. The kids are so much fun !

    Hey Steamhead

    I must say I thought of you as the two best records in baseball squared off last night. I'm glad to see the O's are starting off so well despite the aquisition of a (in my opinion) good riddance Chicago castoff. As a fan of the early '70's Orioles and a lifelong WHITE Sox fan this looks to be a good series. See ya in the playoffs and g'bye to NY and Boston for a change. I know....it's a long season but we can dream can't we??

    we'll see how him being on the DL affects the O's. After so many losing seasons I'm not getting my hopes up.

    As a kid in the 60s and 70s I watched the O's really play baseball. 83 was their last year of glory. I really don't understand how a team as bad as the O's have been can still have fans. I haven't been to Camden Yards yet and won't go until we have a playoff-quality team.

    But the White Sox against the O's in the playoffs- now that would be an interesting series if it were played right now. The stakes would be a lot higher than they were last night. We'll see if they're still on top in September.
