I have a condensate loop on my steam boiler running to a heat exchanger for a hot water loop, and also into an indirect water heater. I was thinking of using a thermostatic mixing valve (like Sparco AM101) to mix in some return water and maintain the condensate at no higher than 180 degrees going in the heat exchanger and water heater. Does anyone have experience with this application? My concern is that the dirty condensate may clog the valve in short order.
