Thanks for your help. I was wondering what you use the ZC ZR connections for.

Wiring the primary pump
I just installed my first boiler with primary secondary piping and I want to know the best way to wire the primary pump to come on when any of the zones call. I installed a Buderus G124x gas fired boiler with 2 zones. I have a Taco SR504 4 zone controller and I installed a Tekmar 256 outdoor reset control. I thought I could use the third zone for the primary pump and jump out TT on each zone to TT on zone 3 but when I do that both zones call. As you can tell wiring is not my strong point. Any suggestions.
Thanks,

sr504
You could use the zc zr terminals on the sr504 . Wire the primary to that.

primary/secondary
Wiring the primary pump to ZR works great and was suggested by Joe M from Taco a while back when I asked the same question. When any of the zones call ZR is also energized.0
