what does everyone think of them? Over the old copper crimp ring? I notice the tool is universal and much more affordable. even though the rings are considerably more pricey.

    Nope

I have to agree with kpc. Copper crimp rings seem more reliable.

I've got hundreds of those on test all over town at 100psi and they hold great.

If you need to remove them you just break the nipple, pull them off and back off the tube.

    One $150 tool for 1/2", 5/8" , 3/4", 1" size...what's not to like?

Or you could spend a heck of a lot more time with Propex, bust a few more knuckles with the big red Zurn style tool...

I'm sure are those who still prefer to do all their accounting in a lined paper notebook as well...and many of them are outstanding contractors and prabably keep better books than me. To each his own.

    Have a great weekend boys!
