    Life's good here, Big Man.

I woke up this morning, which is a wonderful way to start any day. Went for a four-mile run while listening to Vanity Fair on the iPod. Good run, better book. Cleaned up and then took two of the four daughters out to breakfast (one's visiting from Boston). They just headed into NYC for a girl party for Erin, my daughter who is getting married in November. Marianne and her sister are joining them in an hour or so, but not sleeping over, as the younger ones are. I told them all to try to stay out of the news. Now I'm going to visit Mom in the nursing home, and then it's back here so that I can watch N.D. beat up on Penn State.

    Peace, my friend.
