hi all,
How critical is 24 inches from the water line of a steam boiler to the header? I have a hieght issue on a boiler replacement job. Will 18 inches be ok?

Very critical with the header distance, make me wonder if other near pipings is any importance to you...0 -
Try using
a drop header, it will give you more riser height and let you come down to meet the steam mains. Go here for some pics of drop headers:

RMA is asking a legit question . Anyone that's done steam has run into height issues .
Just being here and aking the question makes me think near boiler piping IS important to RMA .0
