Honeywell moduflow

I ran across the above module on an approx. 40 year old radiant floor system. It appears to be electrically connected to the circ pump. Does anyone know what it does? Thanks!

    High precision thermostat

It was essentially a high precision thermostat, circa 1945. Some of them had external sensors to react more quickly to external temp changes. They also had a clock on the wall thermostat (ChronoTherm). I don't know but perhaps there was a day/night temperature setting like today's modern programmables.

Our house was owned by a piano professor, we surmise he wanted the thermostat because of his instrument.
