Hey Hot Rod, What happened with that Prestige 110?

plugged it in, flipped the switch and it displayed and fired right up. Spent 2 hours cleaning and checking, and it continued to run without a glitch.

I must have had it in some sort of soft, hard, or over easy lock out:) I need to call up the factory and get more info.

    Intermitent fault

Intermitent faults are worst kind to find and fix. IF it goes off to la-la land again, check to see if any large electrical load just turned on OR off. I'm thinking a power spike might send it over the edge.

Are there any electrical appliances nearby like real old refrigerators or freezers, old microwave oven, well pumps, central vacuum cleaner, etc.

Are there any industrial equipment nearby like Welders, Compressors, Neon signs, etc.

Is the furnace on its own DEDICATED electrical circuit?

How is the building's electrical grounding? Poor grounding can cause all sorts of weird problems. Is there a grounding wire from the breaker panel to the METAL water main where it comes into the building? If the grounding wire attaches to the METAL water line after the shut off and meter, is there a wire jumper across the meter?

    Good Luck.

    That old Midfas touch

Dontcha just hate it when that happens. Time will tell if it will be a problem. I started up an LP prestige today without a glitch. Sweet. :) WW

if it is caused by other electrical loads

coming on and affecting voltage, maybe a battery UPS unit would help ensure clean stable power if it becomes an intermittent pain in the butt situation.
