even though it says OVER SIZE
on the back of the semi trucks i still think that when it comes to computer screens large is a good thing:)
i think that is an interesting philosophy it is almost a meditative state i reach considering the driver considering that his personal philosophy is that he is Over. "Size" and on to loftier thoughts:)0 -
I'm glad to hear....
I'm not the only one who's "arms are getting shorter"!
I used to give my Dad crap about it, you know the usual stuff...Want me to hold that over here? NOW, he's looking at me with my 1/2 glasses and giving me the same crap.
I swear...when I started, I could see those embossed numbers on almost all Honeywell control dials!(now I'm doing "gravestone rubbings in pencil" on them to make sure!)
So, Anyone getting younger? If you are, please email me through this post. WE ALL WANT TO KNOW!!!!
Happy Labor Day to all my fellow Wallies. May the coming Fall find you all in good spirits, the service calls be few and the installs start flying off the shelf! Chris0 -
Big monitors are nice--even when your eyes are still good. I can display an awful lot on my 21" CRT at 1600 x 800 resolution...
Great for my Vitodens monitoring program as I can display a non-averaged graph of nearly 4 days at five-minute intervals.0 -
Yes...Younger
I'm sure I must be getting younger...certain appendages are the same size when I was 9.
A larger monitor increases sense of well-being. It may be the new "SUV" of the new millenium.

My wife has 2 20\" screens side by side
It's because of the field widths of the data she commonly needs to view, but if she's not looking at data, it takes what would normally be on one screen and divides it seamlessly betwixt the two.
Kinda takes your breath away. Especially with her photography skills on her screen savers.
Teknawledgy, ain't it sumpthin'...

No laptop (can't stand the keyboards), no cell phone (can't stand the interruptions), no Blackberry (can live without constant information and won't even mention what passes for a "keyboard"), no panel TV (still too expensive), no GPS or navigation system (enjoy studying maps) and still use the 1980s Heathkit Pro Series stereo I built.0
