aqua pex for heating??

Ive been told its OK to use the aqua pex( in short runs) for extending a monoflo loop (approx. 20' of pex). I'd rather not buy a whole roll of 1/2" he-pex if I don't have to.

....as long as there's no ferrous material in the system. Otherwise stay with the hePex as the Aquapex has no oxygen barrier.0 -
Osmosis is always a concern. The money you save using the aqua-pex could cost you thousand in the long run.Joe Mattiello

Use the heat pex...if you need a little, most of us in the business have a lot of scrap pieces around. I would think you could find some quite easily. Find out who distributes the product you want to use. I'm sure they could hook you up with a contractor that has some to spare.
