Great to see you work Ron and it's not oridinary it's extra oridinary compared to most jobs out there they don't compete with what your doing and as many times as you do it a week so don't think any less of you great installs each one of your boiler has everything you could ask for pump on the supply and i see a nice mirco air elimantor, isolation valve come on it's all there just cause there isn't all the hi tek stuff it's no difference what you do is show your skill and craftmanship in every install that i have ever seen you post to do that daily says a huge amount the amount of pride you have in your self and what you do .There more quality on one of your installs then i see on a season worth of service work on boiler .You rock ron and your work is awesome .Peace and good luck clammy

Hey Dave
After seeing the amazing installs on here day after day , I usually wait till something different comes across our path to post on here . Our 2 zone replacements look like basic training compared to the work of the artists here - too many artists to mention . For the most part we've been replacing boilers that look exactly like ones I've shown before . We recently installed a boiler for a local VFW . Burnham was extremely kind in donating a V84 boiler , and Meenan very kind to supply the parts and labor . I'll post the pics of that tight boiler room tomorrow .
Heres one we did a few days ago - nice and open , the way we like em . Thanks alot Dave for asking me to post pics . You still want to come down sometime to do a charity boiler ?0 -
AHHHHHHH much better
I feel so much better now thank you!!you know its the plain jane boilers that make up the bulk of our work and i belive folks need to see that theses are just as important to our learning as the muti hi-low heat rad jobs with hi tek gaggets( trust me i love those jobs too) but most men are just installers they need to see there work counts JMHO.
and to your question, you bet! you tell me where and when!!!Just give me some notice to make sure the time is clear thanks ..David

Your right Ron
YOur jobs are like basic training ... RIGHT OUT OF THE TRAINING MANUELS. I am suprised your job photos are not in some ones installtion manuels.
Don't ever stop posting those basic jobs that show others HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE. I Also, enjoy seeing your "everyday" photos that show others that you don't need the top of the line equipment and all the bells and whistles, to do top of the line work. EVERY JOB should be top of the line and you prove that again and again.
Keep at it Pal, you play an important part on the Wall.

Hmm
And here I thought he was just stuck in some broom closet someplace trying to pipe his way out the wall...:) Ron your work is second to none!! Other's may post fancy work but few would hold up under the constant onslaught of a boiler every day or two and trying to squeeze them into a closet!! All the while making them look like a piece of art like you do!!0 -
\"Regular install\"
Ron, I agree with the other guys. You can't imagine how much better your "simple" jobs look than what we usually see. I'm training 3 new guys now and happen to be on the hot water boiler training part. So I just copied your 2 posts for a before and after picture. It's like a little lesson, to identify all the parts and why they are there, for instance we don't have many domestic coils in the midwest and your steel pipe header has the all too uncommon low water cut off, pumping away, spirovent ect. And,the post is a where to put ball valves lesson. I have never not enjoyed your install posts. Keep them up when you have the time.0 -
Hey Ron jr

Thats our
bread and butter - replacing 50+ year old boilers with 85% AFUE heating systems . But after getting my hands on a few MPOs and going through the EK seminar , I'm ready to keep trying new stuff . A wall hung condenser would be amazing to try to install...... someday .
I'll drop a line to the good folks at Oil Heat Cares , and see if an install is on the horizon . I believe Dan is part of the organization too . Thanks Dave for the offer to lend a hand .

Dale
That is very humbling to have our work shown to help a new generation of boiler installers . Your post , and the others who kindly took time to write , is a real shot in the arm for us . I really appreciate your words Dale .0 -
Clammy
It's not that I think less of what we do . It's just that my jaw drops open in awe at the jobs posted here . So complicated and beautiful . Actually , I'm glad we are in a different house every day . The longest I've been on a job was 2 weeks , and by the 2nd week I was wishin' it was over already ..... I guess it's the one day syndrome . Get in , get out , be happy .
Clammy , I hope we meet sometime in the future . Maybe at another Wetstock if the idea gets momentum . Your responses always make my day .0 -
Scott
Your work , and Chris' , and your crews , is in the category of awe inspiring that I wrote about in a post above . And to top it off , you're a genuine good guy and a friend . I always appreciate your kind words Scott .0 -
Hahaha
That is funny , Lchmb . Stuck in some broom closet . I've been lucking out with open basements ..... till tomorrow and a boiler under the stairs .
I've seen your work Tom , and I put you in the awe inspiring category . That pic with the Weil Golds and mutlizones is in a folder I keep on my desktop to look at from time to time to remind me how things should be done . You are a true artist and a real friend , though we never met in person yet . Man , this Wetstock revival idea can't be building momentum in my mind only ?0 -
Common Thread
Hey Ron,
I see a common thread here. You do excellent work. I have seen your photos for a while. Sometimes it stuns me what you do. Other times I am simply amazed.
Keep raising the bar. You are exceptional.

your #1
Ron you are # 1 to do what you do every day in a timely manner ,come on man not every one can do that .As for that 2 weeks i one job i know that feeling and i,m not one to dig it either same place every day i too would start to get house fever .That wetstock 3 sounds like a great idea lots of bubbley beveridges and a sneaking around to find a boiler room and straighten it out .Yeah i can hear the security now .Peace my friend and as always you set the standard for wet head art work with time limits like a UFC fighter and you should always post your work is inspiring not only to me but alot of us you are the bar .As always ron wishing you peace and a never ending supply of good luck (karma) which i know you got .Best reguards clammyR.A. The truth
Ron does do great work, in extreme conditions. He is a true crafstman. A total credit to our trade. Not to mention on hellofa nice person. One of the things I miss about Dan not doing the Wetstocks anymore, is I have fewer chances to see people, like Ron.
A class act, and a working craftsman.

Ron the work is super as usual. Is there a Wetstock revival? I would love to go. If you go I'll bring you a valve to put between the feed and the system ))
Have a good weekend.

Ron,
I show our crews beautiful jobs you have done to "cheer them on" and help teach them the correct way to do this. We do the "boiler-a-day" thing, as well as custom work.
The oil company helps us pay the bills and every now and then, we are able to ...Create.
I hasitate to post our every day stuff because, leaving guys to do what you envision, sometimes does not play out. All the pipes don't wind up perfectly plumb, wiring may not be free of clutter, etc. We strive for perfection, but money and time sometimes do not allow those luxuries.0 -
Al,
that is what is so cool about Ron's stuff. The real world of boiler replacements done in a near perfect fashion. Like you said, I myself try to have jobs turn out like Ron's as my goal. Gives you a good benchmark.
