Repair
If you get a leak on a propress joint can you just run a bead of Sil-fos around the fitting? I realize this would fry the o-ring but you could do both sides of fitting, what do ya think? bob0 -
leak in propress
I asked a rep that question today and he says it will void any warranties if the fitting is soldered. It will be vey difficult to get solder to penetrate the fitting with melted rubber in there and you will only get a surface bond. Recommended procedure is to re-crimp the fitting. If not succesful, cut it out and start over. Nothing's perfiect in this world.
