gas pilot went out
we woke to a cold house sat morn. The pilot had gone out but it relit right away and everything has been running fine since. What should we do if any thing ? its a weil mclean 150,000. the flue seems fine0 -
This happens. Nothing needs to be done unless it does it again. Everything and everybody has to be allowed to mess up occasionally.0 -

If all looks ok when the burners light, no flue spillage, and the pilot flame envelopes 3/8 to 1/2 inch of the tip I would install a new thermocouple. They have a 5 to 10 year life per honeywell, a cheap bit of maintenance every 5 years. Then if the problem repeats you will need to spend some $ on a more thorough diagnosis.0
