Yes it does work better! Helps to get the air out. But isn't that why they call them "Plumbers"? Love shots like this. Worked too long with guys that couldn't fit rubber hose.

    Radiant and snow melt project..

Here are some pictures of a commercial radiant and snow melt job we just fired up on monday. The building is being used by the water department of small town in Michigan for maintenance and storage of equiptment. The reason for snowmelt is that customers are able to purchase water from the building, They pay for it on the outside and then fill there trucks, so you could imagine the ice rink on the concrete.

P.S. What do you think of that Indirect in the background.

    *~`/:)

that is a cool looking indirect:) that blue thing must take alot of the mystery out of its ability to provide plenty of recirculating water:) we had a 15000 gallon water tank and a 6000 gallon day tank that we were lashing up in Prudo bay in 60 below zero that had constant circ through a 4' arctic hose with camlock fittings...and they say it cant be done:) way to go.

The boiler room must have felt like a piece of Heaven ...plenty of space and lots of white canvas to paint your vision :) there are alot of things to like in your picture.

Great looking job Mike! What kind of insulation did you use under that snowmelt?

We used 2" Dow Foam under the slab. When I fired the snow melt up it was pretty cool to see everything work, We had about 2" of snow. I used a automatic control on the system I'm sure I may have to tweak it a bit.
