bimetal pilot sensor

I have a 50 year old National U.S. Radiator hot water boiler which heats my home with radiators, but is starting to malfunction because of the bimetal pilot sensor. I have cleaned it and it is working better, but I would like to try to find a replacement for it. Does anyone know where I might find this part? It has the number V46 one one side and 2A.30V-A.G. on the other. Are there any places that still make parts for old boilers? I like the boiler I have and it heats my home really well. I don't really want to replace the boiler when the only problem is this sensor. Can anyone help me with this?

Bryant 3 wire
The only problem is that the one you now have is very long right? They can be re calibrated, but you must make sure that the GV drops out within 3 sec,...no longer. Does the one you have have a black and red bodied switch at the end? if your not a heating professional, do not attempt this.0 -

The length isn't the problem, in fact, I've diverted more of the pilot flame toward it and it is working much better now. I've attached a photo. If you can tell me where to get a replacement I'd really be appreciative. I want it in case the present one fails.

update
replace with new basso switch or replace gas valve with combination [regulator , valve , thermocouple & new pilot burner ] should have been done twenty years ago.0 -
bimetal sensor - basso switch

Could you tell me what a "basso switch" is and where I can get one? Does this go inside the bimetal sensor to replace the contacts there? If you look at the threads here I posted a photo of the sensor that I have now.

2H Pilot
That looks like an old 2H pilot common on Bryant boilers and furnaces. It may still be available from Totaline. Get your checkbook ready!! -DF

gas pilot safety switch [basso ]
drew, go to a heating supply . they will have what you need. on the other hand if you do not know what i am refering to you might want to call in a plumber or heating mechanic to install it as gas can be dangerous and should be respected as such. if the boiler is good change out the gas valve and install a new modern standing pilot & safety system. it is not a big deal . a basso is also outdated but way better than what you have now.0
