looking for a professional in Boston

Hi There,
I've searched through the find a professional section but really wanted to know if someone in the Boston are was interested in helping me with my home single pipe steam system. My system is short cycling and I have water hammer most noticable in the middle of the night...I've changed vents to my radiators and have checked the pitch of my mains but really need someone who is a pro to help. I'm expecting my first child in the next week so I'm pretty short on time to quiet down and work on my steam system. I live in a 2 family home and live on the second floor...which seems to be the primary culprit for the noise...I've been turning down the heat to 58 at night to avoid the noise but that won't be possible when my child arrives....
Thanks a bunch for your tme

Try Ed Wallace
of Wallace Heating in Watertown. Ed is very knowledgable about steam systems. I would also consider buying the steam books that Dan has on this site, the primer "We Got Steam Heat" and the authorative "Lost Art of Steam Heating". Both are great resources.0 -
I am not on the same level as Ed Wallace, I would qualify myself as a steam pro student. If Wallace is unavailable I would love the opportunity to take a look at your situation at no cost to you.
