I have a one pipe steam system, with 17 ft of 1.5 pipe what would be the best size vent. I can only put it on the side of the last fitting because it is to close to the concret wall.

Use

a Gorton #1 or Hoffman #75. Is this the only steam main in the system?

Main vents

The other main is 15 ft of 1.5 ,i have a gordon 1 on it . Would drilling and tapping a half inch hole, on the side of the fitting be safe, as not to crack the fitting. Thanks tom

That

should work fine. Make sure you pitch the tapping up from the tee slightly so water won't collect in the pipe.
