I have a feeling I'm going to see it all..
Look what some sap did to this old Trane Main vent.

as far as I know....
an old Trane system. Kind of a unique arrangement. Two-family with two seperate boilers/piping arrangements. Each unit's piping had 2 large Trane float vents on the mains and 2 (what I thought were) Trane quick vents on the returns.
I say I thought they were quick vents because they're slightly, but noticably smaller than the dimensions given for the Trane quick vent that were found in the "Library".
No Direct Return Trap was present.
Evidentally the vent was bad or noisy so someone decided to weld the holes up. (As opposed to easily removing it and replacing with a 3/4" plug. Mechanic must have lived there.
