in THE MAIN WALL
We replaced an IBW steam boiler with a Peerless steam boiler. The system has a Hoffman differential loop(see figure 9 on page 234 of Dan's The Lost Art of Steam Heating). We lowered the water line height apprx. 18" from the old boiler to the new one.Now the boiler builds up steam pressure, shuts off and keeps cycling on & off to satisfy the call. In other words short cycling. We installed a new thermostat and down fired the boiler and set the steam pressure to 1-1/2 lbs but still having the same problem. Any ideas?
