Here is another option to look into
http://florheat.com/default.htm
I have used this system for a new construction project with excellent results, I believe they originally marketed for "retrofits"

Im on a job with 6" concrete slab in place. What is the least additional elevation requird for efficient radiant system. Finished floor is hardwood.0 -
quick track
5/8 plywood with 1/2 quick track is a 1"1/8. then 3/4 hard wood 1"7/8 call it 2"0 -
Another option
3/8" "The Barrier" insulation (www.thebarrier.com)or 1/4" Microfoil (www.microfoil.com) (You should have a thermal break) + 5/8" Rahau Raupanel system (More BTU/sf than Quick trac) + 3/4" hardwood = 1-5/8" - 1-3/8" depending on insulation product.0
