Help-
My boiler keeps resetting itself and isn't warming the house. I had someone take a look at it. He said that heat was tripping the sensor and turnint it off. He fliped the switch but the boiler keeps turning itself off. The boiler is a Smith Boiler GB100 GB100 Atmospheric-vented Hot Water Gas-fired Boiler with Honeywell controls. The boiler never did this last season.
Any advice? or Referals to a Chicagoland expert?
Thanks-

Find a contractor that pays his employees y the hour rather than flat rate. The tech wil be more likely to take his time to figure out your problem but you may pay more for the results. It could just need the flame sensor and pilot oriface cleaned or it may have a blocked chimney. It depends on what sensor the heat is tripping. Look for moisture in the chimney which indicates a blocked chimney.
