Beckett NX trouble

Installed this burner on a new Buderus G115/28 DV about 6 months ago.
Was running great until recently. I set up burner back then.
Now it seems to lock out frequently, twice the last two days. Until I get there, then runs great, I get 11% CO2, 362* stack, 32ppm CO, 85.8 eff, pump at 175 psi, no smoke,at Head/air set around 2.25 now.
Replaced the nozzle twice already.
My first NX, am I missing something. Cad??

Thanks in advance.

I've worked on a few G115-28 chimney vents with the NX, and the NX always gets around 14% CO2 at a trace of smoke and should be comfortably running around 12.5% The low CO2 could be an indication of an air leak or high vacuum in the suction line.

The Cad cell alignment is important, there is a hole at top center in the throttle cup and another one at top center in the retention head. Make sure that they are aligned (there is a slot in the bottom of the nozzle adapter that makes it difficult to install the head wrong)

Please don't hesitate to call us toll free from the jobsite 1-800-OIL-BURN and ask for tech service, they can walk you through this.

    don't assume

it's the burner, check your pump vacumm too,is it 1 or 2 lines??? Sometimes a unit will lock out on a long cycle due to oil line restriction. You didn't mention cad cell or vac readings. Sometimes when something is new we think it is our problem.

Call Beckett as Charlie said, their support is excellent.

Long time no see Mr. Masone, hope all is well.

    Beckett NX

    FYI
there has been a problem with this burner!!! the funny thing is that there is not a problem with all of them???? if you inspect the flame ring you will see a carbon build up on the same place every time, you can change nozzles till doomsday and you will always see the same pattern on the ring. honeywell has come out with a new model of their 7184 relay, this will buy you some extra time but you will definately build up to a lockout reading ,if you want to live with this problem ,keep the burner, otherwise replace it with a model that you you know will work well on this boiler,(riello)or(carlin) you will probably be happier with the riello. the problem could be caused by all the items described above.but if you find that the ring carbons on the same vanes every time, and if you open the boiler chamber area and find the right side of the boiler with a sooty dark covering and the left side white as it should be, you will be wasting your time on this burner. the choice is yours.

    Direct vent, huh?

How cold is the combustion air? Is it only locking out during the coldest part of the day/nite? If so, try diluting the outside air w/ some from inside. If it stops the shutdowns, call 1-800-OIL-BURN, & tell them.

    check vac

check vac and possibly convert to single pipe with tigerloop might have a pump cavitating and not a constant air free oil supply.Unit does have a oil solnoid valve and check pump cut out Try another angle noz it's been a while since i've worked on one
