i have my heat thermo in dining room on 1 floor. on the other side of same wall is living room which has a light fixture in bishops crook shape (bulb out from wall) with 60 watt bulb. Its an old house with plaster and lathe wall. Do you think the bulb is affecting my thermo, could heat go through ? first winter so i'd like opinions. maybe i'll move it.

Get one
Of the new spiral mini lamps and replace that energy sucking incandesant thing. Same light, except only uses 14 watts! I have brought enough to replace most of the lamps in my house. They are great. a little slow on full light but then so am I.0 -
I lIke the slow rise to full light, lets me get my coffee
and we both are much brighter by the end.
Bigugh is right replace em with the florescents. Not at all likely the existing one will affect the stat through a wall. I changed all mine and my bill dropped about 45%. I anticipate higher savings this month as the nights are geting longer
