domestic hot water recirc. line sizing

... I can tell you how to get there. All you need to pump is enough to make up for heat loss from the hot water main. So, it will depend on the pipe material, size, location and amount of insulation it has. The ASHRAE Handbook should have the info you need. Once you know the heat loss and pipe volume, you will know the gpm you need. Good insulation could easily allow you to reduce pump size!
Hope that's of some help. Larry

recirc line size ?
Where can I find the proper way to size domestic hot water recirculation line and proper bronze body pump ??? The building is a 100+ yr old country club, long run from heating source.

I would use a 3/4" return line (regardless of what pump you use). 1/2" can make for a lot of velosity, especially with an over sized pump. Less chance of corrosion/erosion.0
