We are also snowmelting the driveway on this project - approximately 5,000 square feet. A 750,000 BTU Thermal Solutions boiler feeds two remote manifolds. We are using Eco-Flex tubing to supply the 2" copper manifolds which are buried in utility boxes. -DF

Munchkin
I had posted some photos of this one back in February when we started this job. The GC threw the original contractor off of the job and we took over. We finished up this past week.
The two 199's are staged through a Vision III control. The Munchkins supply DHW, multiple radiant zones, four air handlers, and garage heat through a flat plat heat exchanger (garage slabs are glycoled). -DF

Hi Al,
I took a long, hard look at the Propress before I took the plunge. I have been using it for about 1-1/2 years now at have not looked back. I have one plug in tool and two battery operated tools and they save huge amounts of time. -DF

Valves
Chris,
Those are in fact Cimberio press valves. Just like the Propress fittings, they cost a little more but save plenty of time. I heard a rumor that another manufacturer is coming out with a line of press valves. -DF

Dan,
You are correct sir! As I was touring the various factories of the Viega company, I was impressed to see the production models already being made. (you KNOW I just had to ask....)
If they are not yet available, they will be by Summer I was told. Chris0 -
You are a true professional
Curious as to which code you work under we're still required to use dielectric's, your finished work looks so much more uniform. Excellent!!0 -
Looking forward to meeting the artist @ WS VI too.

WS
Paul,
Can't wait to see you at WS. We'll catch up on the changes since we last talked over a few cold beverages (or possibly some Louis XIII?) -DF

Dielectrics
Dielectrics are not required by code (2002 IMC) in my area. The dielectrics on the tank were already installed when we inherited the job. The plumber assumes the responsibility for them per my contract. They are already leaking. -DF

We'd
have to search hard for Louis XIII in MN. Perhaps Ken Anderson has a stash.
