Radiator steam vent

Member Posts: 1
That steam vent valve that is on the side of the radiator in my closed 1 pipe system. Works fine during heating season but when the heat is off for a while and turned back on , this vent gurgles and has water or condensate bubble out of it until the steam/heat stabilizes. It is oreintated correctly and none of the other valves on other radiators exibit this problem? Bad valve?
Thanks Roman

Could be....
...... missing a tongue. A good vent would have a tongue or a siphon tube which helps the trapped condensate drain back into the radiator..0
