Find a Pro link doesn't show anyone in my area. I am needing a person who can design and install a radiant slab job in a building I have. I would like to do the pex part of the install and have the pro do the rest. Anyone in my area interested, please let me know. Thanks, Andy Ferguson/Rockford, IL 61008

Two wholesalers that can give you many names

in your area are Scott Wayne of Illco (708) 579-5600 or Jimmy Dunn of Able Distributors 815-344-8899. Both know their stuff and can recommend some pros with experience in hot water and radiant heat.

Yes \"Boilerpro\" Dave Brunnel is in Illinois,

Amboy Illinois to be exact, Which is about 1 1/4 hours south of Rockford. You can contact Dave at boilerpros@insightbb.com

Otherwise we are in Crystal Lake, and have done a couple of jobs in the Belvedere/Rockford area. Unfortunately, I don't think the powers that be would be interested in doing the job as you have proposed (you doing the tubing).

You can feel free to call the office if your interested, and explain what you have in mind and see if we are interested. Call 815-455-7000 and ask for Cheryl Jarocki, and tell her how you heard about us.

Otherwise, you can also try e-mailing Art Pittaway who works for Invensys Corporation in Rockford, and see if he knows anyone more local. Art can be contacted at Art.Pittaway@invensys.com

    We can build the system,

and make it very effective by being number three on Yahoo and number two on Google when a consumer searchs for the word "Heating" on the Internet, but we can't force contractors to think like marketers and use the system as a valuable tool.

    We'll keep trying, though. Thanks.

    And wouldn't it be nice

if you had a Find a Pro ad here. You guys get business while helping to support this site, which brings you even more business.

    Yes I know Dan,

I've tried and tried, can't seem to make it happen. So all I can do is support you personally with purchases here and there as I can afford them, and sending others here looking for a little extra information/insight on hydronics. It's unfortunately the least I can do to repay you for all the knowledge and friendship this site has done for me. I just wish I could do more.

By the way, is it true your in Illinois this week? I didn't hear a thing about it and I don't see it on your calender.

    And I appreciate you, Glenn.

I just wish the folks at your company could see the possibilities. I feel that way about a lot of other companies as well.

I'm in Detroit this week. I was in Chicago last week with two seminars, one on hydronic piping, and the other on cooling towers and condenser water. Thanks.

    This Site

Once again, I am amazed and appreciative when I see the effectiveness of this site. I like it when technical questions get answered on a contractor/contractor or contractor/homeowner basis. However, I get overjoyed when a potential customer gets put in touch with a competent contracor for real-world work. My hat is off to all of you, and especially you, Dan. I really like your style. I hope to join the Find A Pro listing very soon.

Your boss can email me or call, Glenn

I'd be glad to tell him how profitable it has been for us - especially all the steam work that comes in. Who knows? Mad Dog

    Thanks for the offer MD

I gave the powers that be the oportunity to talk to Dan, and I don't believe they took him up on it. I just hate to think of how much work we miss out on from homeowners that just use the FAP and don't ask on the wall like Andy did. Can't say I haven't tried.
